Ringing a bell for the Salvation Army is a special tradition that plays a vital role in their holiday fundraising efforts. As we all know, volunteers stand outside stores and on street corners, ringing bells to draw attention to the iconic red kettles where passersby can donate. The funds collected support a wide range of programs, including food distribution, shelter for the homeless, and assistance for families in need. This simple act of bell ringing not only raises crucial financial support but also spreads holiday cheer and fosters a spirit of generosity and community engagement. For us at Little Prairie UMC, it has become a meaningful way to give back during the festive season, embodying the spirit of giving and compassion.
Please join us in volunteering this holiday season!
We will be at Cub Foods 11am-5pm on December 7, 2024.
